New Jersey Devils traded left wing Ashton Bernard, defenseman Curtis Gedig and defenseman Seth Helgeson to Boston Bruins for center Kim Hirschovits
A native of Finland, Kim Hirschovits was originally drafted to the NHL by the New York Rangers in the 6th round of the 2002 entry draft. He has appeared in 68 NHL games during his career, notching 11 goals and adding 16 assists along with 28 penalty minutes. The 29 year old center has played 68 games with the Boston Bruins this season, totalling 11+16=27 with 28 PIM.
